Peter thanks his TALKWORKS therapist for changing his relationship with sleep

Posted by Admin on 10 August, 2022

Peter accessed support from TALKWORKS when he was experiencing sleep difficulties. In the passage below, he opens up about how talking through his problems with one of our therapists helped to change his relationship with sleep:

“I came to TALKWORKS for help with insomnia. My therapist was excellent: knowledgeable about sleep but also a caring, responsive person to talk with. She gave me space to be who I am, and to start where I’m starting, but was firm when steering my direction of travel. She changed my relationship with sleep, which is what I needed.”

If you are struggling with insomnia or find yourself constantly waking up in the night, TALKWORKS can help. We provide access to one-to-one therapy sessions with one of our NHS clinicians, group therapy sessions and online self-help. We also run a TALKWORKS for Improving Sleep workshop where you can learn a variety of tools and techniques to help you to get a good night’s sleep.

Please do not feel that you have to suffer in silence. You can self-refer to TALKWORKS by filling out our online self-referral form or by calling 0300 555 3344 to help get your life back on track.
