NHS Mental health support

We're here to help you

At TALKWORKS, we recognise that every person has a different experience in what they are going through and how they are feeling. You might be feeling low in mood, struggling with sleep or experiencing stress and anxiety. Or you might not really know what's going on, but just need someone to talk to. We're a free-to-access NHS Talking Therapies Service for adults aged 18+ across Devon (excluding Plymouth) and are here to help you get back on track.

We know that it is not always easy to seek support. We therefore try to make our therapy as flexible and as accessible as possible, by offering a range of approaches and talking therapies to help get your life back on track.

Treatment and support can be carried out in the form of 1-to-1 sessions with a therapist (available face-to-face at various locations across Devon, including our team bases, over the phone or by video call). We also offer wellbeing workshops, interactive group courses and online self-help via Silvercloud (available 24 hours a day).

Your experience with us

Your feedback matters

“I was apprehensive about using the service thinking I wasn't "bad" enough but a talk to the cardiac group by a TALKWORKS practitioner gave me confidence to self-refer. I was referred with respect and taken seriously throughout, felt safe and was given tools and advice to help myself take control of my situation.”

“The therapy gently supported me to both understand and come to terms with my diagnosis and how it has impacted on me as a person for so many years. I felt I could be open and honest in a very safe space. I not only feel better, I understand myself better too.”

“I could not fault the service I received. I was listened to and given so many different resources to help my anxiety and depression. I was so very low a year ago but with the amazing support from my therapist I feel more and more myself every day. Thank you TALKWORKS.”
