'Living Well with a Long Term Health Condition' is a 2 hour workshop which will introduce participants to a range of techniques to help you, or someone you love, manage living with a long term physical health condition.
During the session, you will learn more about:
- The physical impact of our thoughts and emotions on our bodies
- The cycle of inactivity
- Challenging your self-critic
- Developing self-compassion
- Managing worry
- Improving motivation
All of the techniques in the workshop use Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) which looks at how your thoughts, feelings and behaviours interact, which can impact both your mental and physical health.
The workshop is run by two practitioners who will give you step by step instructions on using the tools in your everyday life. The workshop will also include the opportunity for participants to ask questions, get involved in discussions and take part in a guided breathing exercise.
If you’d like to know more about how making changes to your wellbeing can benefit your physical health, this workshop is great first step for you to take.
