TALKWORKS for Talking Health is a 2 hour workshop which will introduce participants to a range of techniques to help you, or someone you love, manage living with a long term health condition. The course will look at the links between body and mind, as well as focus on practical tools and techniques which you can put into practice in order to improve your wellbeing.
All of the techniques in the workshop use a cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) approach which looks at how your thoughts, feelings and behaviours interact. It is a proven talking treatment for helping people to make changes to their lifestyle in order to help them feel to better. Improving emotional wellbeing can also help people to improve their physical health. The workshop is run by two practitioners who will give you step by step instructions on using the tools in your everyday life. If you’re unsure how making changes to your wellbeing will benefit your physical health, this workshop is great first step for you to take.
