World Sleep Day: Improve your sleep with TALKWORKS
There’s nothing worse than trying to switch off at night and not being able to get to sleep. If your mind is racing and you can’t settle for a good night’s sleep, you are not alone.
Lots of us here in Devon have problems with sleep, but did you know that sleep difficulties can also have an effect on our general wellbeing? Our mood can be impacted, leaving us feeling irritated or more anxious, and we may find ourselves struggling to concentrate. It can also make us feel lethargic and low in energy, which may impact us from being physically active. If you are experiencing sleep difficulties, help is available through TALKWORKS.
How can TALKWORKS help me to sleep better?
TALKWORKS can help adults, age 18+, across Devon (excluding Plymouth) who are struggling to get to sleep or who find themselves continuously waking up in the night.
Our treatment and support includes:
- Access to our two hour sleep workshop, which teaches participants a range of tools and techniques to help them improve their sleep
- One-to-one sessions with an NHS therapist, available face-to-face, over the phone or by video call
- A range of wellbeing workshops and group courses, designed to improve our mental and physical wellbeing
- Employment support for people who’s sleep is impacted from trying to find work or who are anxious about returning to work after a period of absence
- Access to online self-help (available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week)
