Other services who may be able to help

TALKWORKS can help people experiencing a mild to moderate common mental health problem such as low mood, stress, worry and anxiety. Unfortunately we are not able to meet the needs of everybody who comes to see us, so here are some other services who may be better placed to help:

Urgent mental health support

  • If you require urgent mental health support and are in crisis - please call NHS 111 and select the 'mental health' option. You can also contact Samaritans – call 116 123 at any time of the day or night. If someone’s life is at risk, please call 999 or go to A&E as soon as possible

  • Relate – relationship counselling in Devon and Cornwall
  • Papyrus  suicide prevention advice and support by phone, email or text for young people or those supporting young people
