Anon thanks the employment support team
We spoke to Anon about accessing employment support within TALKWORKS. They opened up about why they decided to access our service and how employment support helped them to feel more confident in applying for a new job.
Please can you share how you were feeling before you accessed TALKWORKS’ employment support?
I was feeling really low and wasn't sure if there were any jobs I was capable of doing through lack of skills or confidence.
How did the employment support team help you?
I was put onto an administration course and had support with my CV which led to a job interview. I then attended a interview workshop which resulted in a successful interview and then a job offer.
I now have a new job I am excited to start. I feel confident in my skills, knowledge and abilities to be successful in my new role. I am confident this will bring further positive things to my life through having the structure and income!
How can I access employment support?
Employment support is available through TALKWORKS for people who are experiencing a common mental health problem (such as low mood, depression or anxiety) to help them find, stay in or get back to work. It is free to access and available through our NHS service for people who are accessing treatment from TALKWORKS. If you would like to access help from TALKWORKS, you can complete our online self-referral form or you can call the team on 0300 555 3344 (our phone lines are open from Monday to Friday between 9am and 4:45pm).
